Cork Drinks was created as a platform for users to discover new venues in their city and to give users the opportunity to try new drinks. As broke college students, Cork is a service we dreamed about. Whether you need a drink to give to that special someone across the bar or want to start the night off with a free drink, Cork has you covered!

As broke college students ourselves, We knew that college students loved 2 things... drinking & Netflix.
Well, in 2018 we decided that we would merge the 2 together and the idea of cork drinks came quickly to fruition. After the development of an ios and android app-based platform, we began to beta test our model in 2 college-based geographics: Iowa State University & The University of Madison Wisconsin.
Well, in 2018 we decided that we would merge the 2 together and the idea of cork drinks came quickly to fruition. After the development of an ios and android app-based platform, we began to beta test our model in 2 college-based geographics: Iowa State University & The University of Madison Wisconsin.
Understanding that college students were already comfortable and conditioned to a $10 monthly subscription plan, we charged the same for Cork and in turn allowed our users to redeem 30 free drinks each month (one free drink a day). As we began to dive deeper into the cause and effect that we had on the market, we found that Each time a user redeemed a free drink, at one of the affiliated bars that we partnered with, there was a $20-$25 revenue made on of every single free drink the bars gave.
And thus a perfect ecosystem was born... The bars made a higher profit and increased found as high as 60% increase in weekly frequency in their patrons, the users were happy since they can get 30 free drinks for the price of 1, and we were happy to expand with such low overhead. Cork was awarded the "2019 transcend Madison Wisconsin Innovation Award" as well as a place in the G-Beta gener8tor program, a nationally-ranked venture capital firm.
